It was a last minute call few days before the event that was announced to our club members regarding the upcoming significant worldwide event.

At short notice few members of the SARA have teamed up to try and take up this HF contest challenge during low sunspot activity cycle and poor HF propagation in Indian Ocean.

The event starts at 4pm 10th July 2021 (Seychelles Time [SCT]) and lasts for 24hrs on 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 & 10m bands both SSB & CW.

SARA will do their best at very early days of 'club station' operations to participate in the event and hoping for being spotted out in the big world on the air under the club call of S77SARA that has not been activated for the contest in its history yet.

We are expecting S79KW and Foundation candidate Mr Ryan Lesperance to set-up the warm-up on the 20m band at 3pm, 1 hr before the event at field setup on Saturday 10th July 2021. Innovative antenna system at the sea shore with lack of ATU and operating out of the vehicle. Trial setups has been done and looking good.

All the best of luck for all candidates willing to win the contest and we all hope this 2021 event will be learning curve for all, the best of luck to everyone outside Seychelles to work S77SARA Low Power station (100W Max).

Below Expected Antenna Setup during S77SARA Activation on 20m band for the HF World Championship Contest:
